Do you know why online businesses are getting losses? Answer is simple, server failures or server slowdowns. When your server is facing the challenges while showing the results in the search engine, then you have lost the number of visitors. Server failures reduce your website traffic, generally server failures happen due to irregular server monitoring.

Server monitoring is important in increasing the website applications performance. Monitoring tools monitor the servers internally and externally at micro level also. This is important at finding the server failures in the initial stages.

Monitoring programs monitor the server applications 24X7. This continuous monitoring also notifies the problems and sends it immediately to the server operators. Administration network immediately solves those inconveniences.

When the server performs effectively, then the website performance also improves. When website becomes effective while displaying the results then it can see the increase in the number of visitors. The websites which take less downtime at showing the results, those only have good web-traffic.

Moreover, the downtime of the websites is reduced when the applications of that particular website are error free. These error free web applications take less time to show the results. Increase in the website up-times can be obtained through error free applications which helps in getting effective website traffic.

Electric heaters are gaining huge popularity due to their energy efficient features. Electric heaters are environmental friendly devices and are easily maintainable. Portable electric heaters are also getting popularity due to their heating facilities. Portable electric space heaters are very beneficial to maintain and to transfer from one place to other place.

A portable electric heater is available in different types like radiant heaters, oil filled heaters and ceramic-infrared-heaters and more. Let us know about these types in brief.

Radiant heaters: These heaters are more beneficial for small space heating. Mostly people use radiant heaters at their office rooms and individual rooms at homes. Radiant heaters convert the radiant energy into heating energy.

Oil filled heaters: Oil filled heaters are more economical heat producers and environmental friendly heat producers. These devices come with thermal seal with oil inside which requires no refilling and no replacement. Heating elements heat the oil and then the heated oil emits the heat outside to the surroundings.

Ceramic heaters: Ceramic infrared heaters use ceramic as a mediator. They take less time for producing heat. Ceramic-infrared-heaters are environmental friendly devices and more economical to users.

Electric heaters come with environmental friendly facilities because they never produce the ash and carbon monoxide. They produce heat at a standard level.

Apart from doing traditional business like collecting the deposits from the public and lending the money to individuals or organizations, banks now a days provide services to the all types of customers like individual account holder and company accounts and also to the non customers. The range of services offered differs from bank to bank depending mainly on the type and size of the bank.

Information Technology enables new product development, better market infrastructure, implementation of right techniques for control of risks and helps banks to extend their markets geographically. Internet has emerged as an important medium for delivery of banking products and services.

E Banking:
E banking was introduced in UK and USA in 1920s. It is the process of performing banking activities through the internet. The e bank offers following services to the customers:

Mobile Banking:
With increase in usage of mobile phones and cellular services, several banks have introduced mobile banking which allows customers to perform banking transactions using their mobile phones through Internet.

The barcodes are mainly used on the items, like boxes, cans, jars and other packaged goods, which are available in grocery shops and retail stores. But barcodes, have their applications in other categories, such as schools and offices. Schools and university campuses depend on ID card systems for security, access control, time and attendance or transaction and personal data processing. All the above said functions can be performed easily with the help of barcodes. Two dimensional (2D) bar codes can store lot of information like digital photographs, signatures, schedule data, emergency contact information and even biometric data in a single code than the linear (1D) barcodes. Printing barcodes on the student ID cards, make them act as a “portable database.”

The benefits of the barcode system for the schools are given below:

They help in processing attendance and truancy.

Validating student identity for conducting tests, dorm and sporting facility access, and miscellaneous security uses.

It helps to track the students while they are in off site transportation, as well as during fires and other emergency situations.

Adding 2D barcodes along with mobile card readers to a school card system helps to increase the security.

The 2D barcode can store the information in horizontal and vertical dimensions. 2D barcode is self contained, there is no need to connect the system to a back end database.

The 1D codes can be used to automate student related transactions in the library, cafeteria, bookstore, and many other areas where PC is present.

The 1D and 2D barcodes does not add any costs to the card production, since bar codes are printed at the same time as the ID card. The 2D bar code offers features of a smart card, such as data capacity, at 1/10 the price.

All the above benefits, result in improvement of performance of the students, due to the effective management plans by schools.

WAN optimization requirements in the past have been tactical in nature, and the core features in these WAN links are traffic compression or response time improvements. For selecting the best WAN optimization for a business one should consider the entire application delivery infrastructure along with the core features.

The following are some of the important considerations which are to be taken while selecting a WAN optimization solution.

Network Transparency:
Network transparency is the most important consideration for WAN Optimizing solution. Transparent WAN optimization design applies optimization to the traffic “payload”, while preserving the original and critically-important IP and TCP headers.

Application Performance Monitoring Tools:
The WAN optimization should include an effective APM because it monitors and manages the performance of the software applications. It also rectifies any deviations from the actual results. A company while choosing a WAN optimization solution has to take advice of APM consulting regarding APM.

Interoperability with Network-Based QoS:
Service (QoS) techniques are useful in efficient delivery of latency and bandwidth sensitive applications over the network. Network based QoS policy can be adopted by organizations, by installing the routers and switches, which have built-in QoS support.

Secure and Trustworthy Handling of SSL Optimization:
It is one of the most common protocols, whose main purpose is to encrypt content that is transported over IP networks. The private keys and certificates should be distributed in a secure manner to the WAN optimization devices in the data center and stored in a secure vault, maintaining the trust boundaries of server private keys.

System Scalability and High Availability:
In WAN optimization, response time must be the ultimate goal and shouldn’t be degraded when the deployment size increases and scalability is required.

Hybrid Caching Architecture:
Cache is used in WAN optimization as it speeds up the processes. The most important cache architectures are TCP segment cache and Object cache.

Router-integrated Solution:
A WAN optimization solution has maximum application in IT industry, as it helps in centralizing of applications and storage in the data center, maintain LAN-like application performance and facilitates effective space utilization, as it reduces the overall floor space consumed by branch-office devices.

Network-embedded Virtualization:
Virtualization technology is widely adopted in IT industry, as it reduces costs and increase flexibility of services. Virtualization integrated with WAN optimization offers benefits of application acceleration, improved network utilization and local services hosting. It is used in branch offices and remote areas.

The WAN optimization solution selected should be based on an architecture that can meet future network expansions. The selected solution should address the needs of remote and mobile users, and integrate with data center applications and services.

Many small and large corporate organizations have their branches and customers in different places through out the world, this can be done because of the globalization. They need to access secure information and use applications to make business transactions.

Many organizations are using WAN optimization devices in order to access the information and speed up the communication applications and improve the productivity and do work from remote areas and so on. Businesses can protect the revenue, improve the productivity and customer satisfaction by having the best application performance.

Best practices: Improving the performance outcome by optimizing the effective application performance is the main goal of the best practices of the application performance management. There are some of the best practices, such as:

Understand: The process of the APM starts by understanding the application needs of user. It can be critical aspect to understand what is important and how to measure the performance of the applications.

Measure: Later, data is measured by the APM. This includes the application and the response time of the applications from the perspective of end user of the resources. How well the systems are doing can be assessed by measuring these things. The continuous monitoring of reporting for the entire infrastructure are delivered by this.

Communicate: IT managers can find out who is experiencing performance problems by understanding and measuring the application performance. It also communicates with them along with measuring and understanding. Managers can decide that end user is facing problems with what applications and find out the causes for this as well.

These are the best practices of the application performance management, which improve the efficiency of the application.

Network Choking or congestion happens when a particular device in the network is unable to accept the amount of incoming packets from other device in the network. Generally, network choking happens due to the following reasons:

Devices with different bandwidth capacities in network
For example, if a network is having a 100 Mbps switch, but few PCs connected to it are operating on 10 Mbps lan card. The PCs may not be able to accept the data packets sent by switch at 100 Mbps speed. The data packets are held by the switch till all the data packets are transferred to the PC. Meanwhile data packets from other devices add up into the existing queue of the switch. This ends up in entire network choking.

ISP data loss
As per the same example above, if an ISP is providing bandwidth of 100 Mbps but the network router is of only 64 Mbps capacity, it may end up in network choking.

Network cables also causes network choking
A network with Gigabyte switches and cables with lesser data transfer rate (for example: cat5 cables can handle only 100 Mbps transfer rate), also results in choking.

Improper settings of devices in network
Improper configuration of network adapters or switch ports (managed switches) can cause network choking.

Some other possible reasons include bad network adapter, bad switch (on your end or your ISP’s end) or malware in the network.

Tire alignment is a little known car maintenance which can improve life span and directionality of a car. This is a most important car repair jobs which is mainly ignored by the new car owner. Friction and heat are the two major factors that cause wear and tear in car. Friction damages mechanical part of the car where as heat damage the physical part of the body. In simple terms, lack of lubrication in car is the major factor for frictional damage.

Tire alignment is necessary because it restores the orientation of car tires and reduces the friction. This reduced friction will avoid any wear and tear of a car. A regular tire alignment checkup is necessary because it helps to maintain long life of a car tire. Precise control in terms of directionality while steering a car is another benefit of tire alignment.

Tire alignment is considered on three parameters which deal with the angles at which the tires are oriented with respect to each other and with respect to suspension. These are Camber, Castor and Toe.

Camber - Angle made by the wheel diameter line with a perpendicular drawn from the ground is called Camber. Error in this mechanism can cause major wear and tear of tires.

Castor – This type of angle can be made by steering pivot while looking the wheel from sideways. These types of misalignments can cause steering control problems and rapid wear and tear of a tire.

Toe – This mechanism shows how much the front and back tires are aligned with each other. For better result tire should be in parallel style.

Excessive wear and tear of a tire and non-central alignment of the steering wheel while driving straight is the major indicator for tire alignment problem. According to a car mechanic car wheel alignment is necessary after about 10,000 miles of running or about one year.

Hence, tire alignment is a major repair issue and a car owner always should take care of it. This small repair will help to avoid major problem and other issues of a car.
