Aromatherapy Oils to Treat Oily Skin

Skin in the most important as well as the most sensitive part of the body. It’s a great protective cover for the entire body, which prevents infections, injuries and germs from attacking us. Unless, it is healthy and hygienic it cannot not offer enough protection. So, it’s our responsibility to take extra care and attention towards the skin. Even though many natural and artificial skin care products are available in the market, it is always better to go for natural products which cause less or no harm to any skin type.

Among all such natural remedies, aromatherapy essential oils are found as one of the best way to treat the skin. For now let us discuss how they are useful in treating oily skin types, which are commonly found in most of the people.

Aromatherapy for oily skins: In some skin types, more oil is produced by the sebaceous glands which result in oily skin type. There are various factors which are responsible for oily skin, like diet, weather, dust, dirt and so on. These kind of skin types are prone to pimples, acne, scars and other skin ailments. Hence, people with such skin types need to take more care for their skin.

Essential oils in aromatherapy help to solve the issues with oily skin in a more natural way as these are extracted from different parts of the plants like flowers, seeds, stems, herbs, etc. In general, these oils are used to massage the skin to get the required benefits. Since these oils are highly concentrated, mixing them with correct blend of carrier oil is a compulsory thing.

Some of the essential oils for oily skin are Cedarwood, Rosemary, Cypress, Juniper, Eucalyptus, Lemon, and Lavender etc. Any of these oils can be combined with a lanonin and fragrance cream or lotion and can be used to massage in to the face or skin. In order to make a toner, add few drops of essential oil to rosewater and use it. These oils get absorbed in to the skin very easily and enter the blood stream, resulting in long lasting affects.
