The basic function of dentures is to enable proper chewing function. They also prevent the falling of adjoining teeth. Different types of dentures including complete, partial and over dentures are used based on the necessity of the person.

Dentures are fitted into the mouth by two methods including immediate and conventional ones. In immediate method, the molds of the jaws are prepared beforehand.
